Good Online Manners
In order to make sure your video game has a positive community, you will need to consider how to promote the use of netiquette amongst players.
Netiquette is a word made from two others: interNET (a giant, worldwide network that connects millions of computers, phones, and other devices together) and etiQUETTE (the set of rules for being polite and respectful in a social situation). Netiquette just means having good manners when you are online.

Your Job Training
You have one job training session with two parts to complete on Netiquette.
Step 1. You will need to be able to correctly identify players’ chat messages that show netiquette.
- To complete Part 1 training, you will drag the statement in the top box into either the green box (good netiquette) or the red box (bad netiquette).
- To complete Part 2 training, you will be provided a scenario and then a chat room message. You need to rewrite the message to be an appropriate online message.
- You do need to complete both Parts in a row. Progress is not saved.
- Open the Netiquette Recognition Training App now to get started.
Once you are able to correctly sort 10 chat messages and rewrite 3 responses, you will receive your Netiquette Recognition Training Certificate.
Step 2. Copy or download your Netiquette Training Hub Certificate and add it to your Player Conduct and Safety Portfolio.
