Q2 Responsible Internet Use: Digital Rights & Responsibility

6. Cyber Smart

The Digital Neighborhood!

Being online is kind of like living in the biggest neighborhood in the world, you’re connected to millions of people! And just like in any community, you have rights (things you can expect and are allowed to do) and responsibilities (the rules you follow to keep it safe and fun for everyone).

A good digital citizen knows that every right comes with a matching responsibility. When we all do our part, the online world becomes an awesome place to hang out, learn, and play!

Task: In the slide deck below, check out some digital rights and the digital responsibilities that come along with each one. Be prepared to discuss your thoughts about some of the rights and responsibilities.

Your Portfolio Proof

In your Player Conduct and Safety Portfolio that you have saved from Quest 1, you will be identifying some digital rights and responsibilities in a couple of scenarios.

Step 1. Go to the Quest 2: Digital Rights and Responsibilities section of your portfolio. Image below will match the correct page in your portfolio.

Step 2. Read through the directions and two scenarios. Respond to the questions for each scenario. Use information from the 6.Q2 Digital Rights & Responsibilities slides to help you think about each scenario and justify your answers.
